A woman fixing sewing machines for universities in Africa

After making the decision to educate herself, a lady is now fixing sewing machines for African women business owners.
Nikki Field from Wiltshire began her pastime during the lockdown by restoring an antique Singer treadle.
She currently participates with Hampshire charity Tools For Self Reliance and fixes at least one machine per week.
The nonprofit organization provides sewing machines and training to empower women in Malawi, Uganda, and Zambia—many of them are single mothers—so they may launch their own tailoring businesses.
