Several items were collected during the first phase of the investigation as police recreated the crime scene to piece together the interior designer’s final moments.
A team of experts was also noted to be analyzing the same, including the retrieved CCTV footage. “We are now progressing to the second phase of the investigations where several persons of interest will be interrogated and appropriate recommendations made to the ODPP.” part of DCI statement read.
Kenyans were urged to be patient as the detectives continued their investigation.
Mwathi’s family camped out in front of the agency’s headquarters on Kiambu Road a few days before the preliminary report was released.
