In a speech on Wednesday, June 26, in Mombasa, Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua accused the National Intelligence Service (NIS) of being behind the violent demonstrations against the Finance Bill 2024.

Gachagua asserted that Noordin Haji’s NIS was unable to supply the essential intelligence regarding the demonstrations.

Gachagua claimed, “Our NIS team slept on the job.”

“It took nationwide protests and fatalities before the president realized how Kenyans felt.”

Due to our broken NIS, Kenyans have been made aware of both the government and the people.
