Prominent opponent of the proposed Finance Bill Shad Khalif has vanished after being kidnapped from a shopping mall in Nairobi’s South B.

On Sunday night, June 23, 2024, Shad, a vocal opponent of the Finance Bill 2024, was kidnapped.

His abduction represents the most recent in a string of abductions aimed at opponents of the new taxes.

His family and acquaintances claim that he was kidnapped by unidentified people who had followed him to the location.

Shad Khalif was taken by force on Sunday night in South B, Nairobi, by men driving a white Toyota Prado and a black double-cab pickup truck.
