Popular social commentator and outspoken activist Gabriel Oguda has reportedly been kidnapped ahead of today’s planned statewide demonstrations against the Finance Bill 2024.

On social media, Oguda’s brother Zachary said that early on Tuesday, June 25, unknown gunmen had seized the newspaper writer from his home.

“All tweets from @gabrieloguda were planned ahead of time. Zachary tweeted, “HE ISN’T SAFE.”

There are other activists who have vanished besides Oguda. Additionally, it has been alleged that unidentified individuals kidnapped Osama Otero, the host of the well-liked X Spaces that oppose the Finance Bill.

There have also been reports of other X users going missing, including Shad Khalif (also known as Shadrak Kiprono), Franje, and Drey Mwangi.
